I like to think of my blog as: Teaching by Bits (and Bytes).
I get an opportunity, with permission to share what I have learned or experienced with others who may need it and with people who can help me improve.![]()
Since I know many people would like to read a book but don't. Many people can see where a class or two would help but don't find time. Too many people skip the basics and hope to get rich. I try to write based on what I am hearing from people and what I see happening.
This blog is a response to a "Group Writing Project" started by Liz Strauss
My first thought for the metaphor went to my original reason for blogging - to have a conversation with readers of my books and others who are interested in the subjects of business transformation, leadership, and entrepreneurialism. It seemed like such a cliche metaphor and it seems most blogs are more of a one-way thing. They don't have to be, but only about 1% of readers comment or email, so that is not much of a conversation. It is more like standing in the corner with a few friends while a crowd watched you talk.

Hi Roger!
Bits and bytes the words we say and the words we write . . . they are our past, present, and our future. They track our history, our reality, and our dreams. It's a powerful metaphor.
