Book Signing and Speaking in Yorba Linda, CA 7 - 9 PM

Tonight I will be signing copies of my book Maps for Modern Magellans: Charts for Captains of Commerce, and speaking for 15 minutes, at 8 PM, about positioning a company for success. We will also be unveiling some of the posters that have been designed to compliment the maps in the book. Don't worry if you miss them there. They will be appearing shortly on the website, and will be available on Café Press.

Initially the event was to be held in a home, but the number of people who wanted to attend, and some other circumstances, forced it to be moved elsewhere. In some ways, the new location will be better. Much more parking, more seats, and more space for people to chat, network, or get to know one another.

As a special surprise -

I will give a free book, signed no less, to the first person at the event who tells me the last line of my first post (The one about the author). My family is not eligible - they all have books anyway.

There is no charge to attend and you don't even have to buy a book if you don't want to. If you just want to ask questions, tell me my maps need something fixed, or just debate business issues, I will be happy to meet you. I'm certain that after you hear what I have to say you will want a book maybe two.

Yorba Linda, in northern Orange County California, is home to the Richard Nixon Library & Birthplace. At one time, I had an office just across from where his old house stands.

UPDATE - The third person to arrive, Kris W., was the first person to know the answer: "The maps, charts, and diagrams are designed to help business owners, and managers, better grasp and communicate important business principles."  He even had it memorized. I was flattered!

Book Authoring Map - Part 1
I created a new publishing company because that has been my method of operation for every idea I have. I create the company that makes the product to be sold. Once the decision to write the book was done it just seemed natural to treat it as in much the same manner as any other product I get involved with. Continue Reading
